The Maran breed originates from a town called Marans, France. Its a very winter hardy breed with a docile temperament. They are more athletic and take to foraging and free ranging more often than other breeds. This breed is a mixture of several different lines and produces eggs that are a 5-8 on the Marans chart.

We get a 80-90% hatch rate here on the farm. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE you will have the same hatch rate

Shipping can have an affected on hatch rate. We have had 100% hatch rate and 0% and everywhere in between on shipped eggs

We always breed true to the breed and breed for quality. But eggs colors may vary a bit then what is pictured.
